The works comprised of
- Demolition of roof structures to the North East and Centre Block of Bush House including the creation of services risers throughout the whole building i.e. 10 floors per building.
- New steel roof structure including the construction of a concrete infill slab and associated steel bracing
- The creation of the risers which involved temporary propping, insertion of new steelwork, saw cutting and removal of slabs.
- Large concrete staircases were removed including the installation of temporary propping and permanent steelwork to reinforce structure.
- Fire protection to new steelwork
- Large sections of floor structure were also removed which was a combination of concrete and beam and pot construction including the replacement with trimming steels and hollorib decking.
- New structural steel mezzanines were also formed on the lower floors including concrete slab infills.
- Masonry walls were constructed to various levels including the formation of Builderswork openings and associated fire stopping.
- Builderswork openings and plinths were also formed wherever specified.
- New underground drainage was also installed to the lower ground floors of both buildings.
